Saraswati is the goddess of Knowledge.She is the one who gives the essence (saara) of the self (swa).She is often shown as being seated on a rock, Which indicates that knowledge stays in our self like rock. It stays with in us all times.

Her Vahana or vehicle is a swan. It is said that if a mixture of milk and water were given to swan, it will drink just the milk. This symbolizes the power of discrimination (Viveka) using, which we must take the positive in life and leave out the negative

Lakshmi is the godess of wealth and prosperity. Wealth is a vital ingredient bestowed upon us for the maintenance and progress in our life. It is much more than just having money. It can mean abundance in Knowledge, in skills and talents and so on. Lakshmi implies the complete spiritual and material well-being of a person.

The goddess is shown as being seated on a lotus in water. Water by nature flows. Similarly, wealth gets its value if it is serving some purpose and not kept stagnant. The lotus is stable though the water is flowing. This also shows stability on dynamism culminating in progress.

Devi Mahatmyam.. Durga-The goddess Of Courage and Strength

The goddess Durga is epitomized as the shakti who wards of all evils. Durga Also means hill.A very diffcult task is often described as mountainous or on hill. When there is Positivity, the Durga Shakti, negative Forces cannot overpower us.

The Godess is shown to be riding a lion, Complementing the aspect of courage and valour which are the essence of Durga Shakti.

The Goddess is depicted with many hands- one hand with noose, one with a goad, one with a sword, one with a scripture – she represent multifaceted skill in action and the capabilities to remove all obstacles

So it is said that one who has very low confidence and one who fells more fear or afraid has to worship maa Durga to get rid of fear and afraid.

Navratri Continued......

Irrespective Of the qualities of a child, the mother always love the child. Same is with the mother divine. This all-inclusive power supports us and brings out divine quality in us. Same is the Mother Divine. This all inclusive power supports us and brings out the divine quality in us.

This can happen only when we are doing our Sadhana .This 9 days are a reminder to be a good sadhak and of course, none of this can even stir without the grace of the Master and we are very fortunate to have it in abundance.

It is said in the scriptures that one can realize the self through Sadhana, Seva, Satsang and Guru’s grace.These nine days are an Opportunity to be completely in Sadhana, Seva, Satsang and Of course the grace of the Master which is already with us.

Sorry to be lazy writing blog again from today.Was thinking to start so decided today to start it of again with this precious day.

According To My or Rather Our Guruji Pujya SRI SRI RAVISHANKAR Navratri Means Symbolising Victory Of Positivity Over the Negativity,Navratri literally means nine Nights in Sanskrit Nava means Nine and Ratri means Nights.During these nine nights and ten days, the 3 forms of Goddess-Durga,Laksmi and Saraswathi are invoked.

The First 3 days are Tamsic,The Next 3 days are Rajasic and Last 3 days are Satvik.In Life all these 3 Qualities Co-exit and we have to skillfully go through with it and get out of it.these nine days are a reminder for this.It is awakwning of the divinity that quality of the mother divine which does not negate anything but nurtures the good qualities.suporting the positivity in us and skillfully removing the negativity can learnt by invoking and awakening the divine in us.This is what is done in chandi Homa.
